Shepherds Hut Terrace
Shepherds Hut Terrace
The Clients had recently had a Shepherds hut installed to take in the stunning views at the top of their heavily sloped garden. The brief was simple, create a terrace space working with the existing features to match the beautiful craftsmanship of the new garden building.
Wide arching stone walls retain a generous sandstone patio edged with clay pavers. The existing paved circle nestles into the arc of the top patio whilst rich banks of planting run down alongside a central lawn framing the stunning views across the valley. Steps provide access to the lower garden and main house with stepping stones and a small extra paving space outside a small secondary summer house.
Perennial planting brings rich colour and texture and sleeper retaining walls define the bed edges.
